I am Romanian. I left Bucharest almost 6 years ago but I keep Romania in my heart wherever I go. Romania is the place where I have grown my roots, where I have learned to fly towards any dreams I have, where I have learned to respect and value my traditions and, above all, Romania is the place where all my soul friends and family are.
Sometimes, when I am far away, some musical notes or a smell so familiar from my childhood are enough to bring me back in my world. In fact, I need to take with me my world wherever life takes me! I don't collect material belongings and I have found that memories built together with people you meet on the way are more precious than anything else in this world. I confess that it's hard to give away books and few objects that I feel have given me "something" back.
I was very happy when I discovered Adrian Oianu's clothing line inspired from our tradition. I bought a skirt and a coat and instead I got a delightful morning spent with my best friend, a piece of Romanian tradition and the chance to spread our authentic symbols to the whole world. The embroidery used for those items is old reconditioned one. When you wear such an item you become timeless, you feel the emotion of generations and you get closer to the spirit of your home.

p.s. Instead of creating a huge bookshelf I hope to share with you some happy moments. If you want one of my books, drop me a line. I will present them all in the Book section. I have books in Romanian, French and English. For the moment I keep the skirt and the coat! :)
