Talih*

Am auzit ca dupa ce-ai plecat
Ai lasat in urma zeci de-ntrebari nerostite
Cuvinte negraite
Si raspunsuri ne-ntalnite printre miile de carti.

Am auzit ca dupa ce-ai plecat
Stelele s-au inmultit dintr-odata
Si luna a stralucit mai tare pentru cateva nopti
Sa-ti lumineze calea.

Nu stiu cum de-au inflorit magnoliile...
In februarie.

Draga mea, ingerul meu.

Mai stai

Mai stai o clipa
Sa-mi gadili talpile si sa-mi saruti fruntea
Si n-o sa-ti para rau.

Mai stai un ceas
Sa bem cafea cu scortisoara
Din aceeasi cana
Sa ne-alintam de dragul privirilor
Si al zambetelor dintre noi.

Mai stai o luna
Sa facem planuri si bagaje
Ne-nchidem telefoanele
Si prin lume hoinarim.

Si daca tot ai stat atat,
Ce ar fi sa stai de tot?
Ah, imi gadili talpile
Nu-ti pare rau c-ai stat, asa-i?

Steve McCurry, Photographs from the East

You've probably already heard about Steve McCurry and I bet you know his best known photograph which became an icon: the Afghan girl with an incredible and powerful gaze who makes a strong statement about the horror of war. Her green eyes tell a thousand stories from just a single shot that the artist immortalized... and that is what I love the most about McCurry's photographs: one single shot and a whole story. You don't need anything else to understand the context of the entire story, no other pictures or written explanations. His photos simply stand on their own.

I was lucky to see one of his exhibition in Zurich and I admired a collection of photographs from the East. McCurry said that most of his pictures are based on people. "I look for that unprotected moment when the innermost depths of the soul are revealed and a person's face shows what they have experienced."

I am apologizing for the quality of my pics below since I took pictures of some of McCurry's photographs from the expo with my cellphone...
What is this modern life: picture of a picture. I am sure in the future this will be a form of art too. Just kidding, of course :)

Enjoy every single shot. I surely did.
